We’ve supported 9000+ garages and workshops across the UK. From independents to dealer groups, we know what drives success in your industry.

Who are Payment Assist?

We’re a UK-based finance provider offering interest-free payment plans to help spread the cost of vehicle repairs, services, tyres, and more. Our goal is to make motoring more manageable and affordable.

To be eligible, you must be over 18, a UK resident, and have a debit card in your name. All plans are subject to credit and affordability checks.

You can use our Marketplace to search for approved garages and dealers that offer our finance options near you.

We accept most UK debit cards. Unfortunately, we do not accept credit cards or prepaid cards.

Our most popular options are our 3, 4 and 6 month interest-free plans, where you pay an initial amount upfront and the rest over equal monthly instalments. Some retailers also offer longer interest-bearing plans, 12 months and beyond, depending on the purchase value and agreement terms.

Yes, you can, subject to approval. Each application is assessed on its own merits.

Your payments are automatically taken from the same debit card used to set up the plan. No action needed, just make sure there are sufficient funds on your payment dates.

Yes. We’ll carry out a credit check as part of your application to help us assess whether we can offer you a loan and to make sure it’s affordable for you.

We will perform a soft credit check (quotation search) on every loan application; it won’t affect your credit score and isn’t visible to other lenders.

Yes. We’ll share information about your account with one or more UK credit reference agencies.
We will share information about your application and your loan, including your loan balance, payment history, missed payments and when your loan has been repaid, with Credit Reference Agencies (CRAs). This helps us assess applications, manage your account and support responsible lending. If you do not keep up with your repayments and your account defaults, we may also share relevant information with debt collection agencies or other third parties appointed to help us recover the outstanding balance.
Making your payments on time can help build a positive credit history. Missing or making late payments may affect your ability to get credit in the future.

Yes. You can request a date change or settle your plan early by contacting our support team. We’re here to help make your plan flexible.

You’ll receive a confirmation email as soon as your plan is live, along with your payment schedule and agreement details.

Please be aware that a missed payment £15 fee may apply in line with the terms of your loan agreement and that missing your payment may negatively impact your credit rating.
We understand that circumstances can change and you may sometimes find it difficult to make your payment. Please contact us as soon as possible if you think you may be unable to pay, so we can discuss your options and work with you to find a suitable solution.

If you’re having any difficulties making your loan application or subsequently managing your loan then please contact us so we can provide the extra help that you may need.
